Hi! As some of you know, I send out an email whenever I have a new book launch. I've decided to move from Mailchimp to Substack because the options presented are better for the receiver. I also shut down my OnlyFans account due to complaints about my recent appearance.
Some news:
Doin' It With Mike Sacks
This year I rebooted my podcast Doin' It with Mike Sacks, with the great Rob Schulte producing. This podcast is released monthly and is raspberry-jam-packed with comedy bits, found audio, interviews, original writings, and more. Episodes are released the first Monday of every month.
Here are some of the amazing writers and actors and comedians I’ve interviewed in the past for the podcast. All eps are available to listen to:
In my latest episode, out today, I speak with Adam Gopnik about his new book, The Real Work: The Mystery of Mastery.
Want me to read your question on the podcast? Email me at Mikebsacks@gmail.com. You can find this episode and every Doin’ It episode on all major podcast platforms, including on our network, Sonar’s website.
My Latest Book:
Welcome to Woodmont College: $4.99 through McSweeney's
It’s a ritual as time-honored among teenagers as prom or drinking too much and crashing your parents’ Corolla into a window of a chain Mexican restaurant—glossy catalogs from colleges arriving by the dozen each spring. Learn for yourself why U.S. News and World Report has hailed Woodmont College “a singular educational experience for young people searching for neglect of the arts and aggression by townies.”
Co-written with Jason Roeder. One of the “Best Humor Books of 2022” by Vulture. Available in both digital and print.
An article I wrote you might want to check out:
I interviewed the wonderful Natalie Merchant for The New Yorker about her upcoming tour and beautiful new album, Keep Your Courage.
A Suggestion from Me:
Rain Dogs on HBO is beautifully written and acted by the incredible actress and writer, Daisy May Cooper.
Be well! And keep reachin’ for those stars!
